A logo and a colour palette are visible parts of a brand, but they are not the brand. For a hotel, the brand is the promise it makes and the way it keeps that promise: how guests are greeted, what the rooms feel like, how the food tastes and what they remember afterwards.
Strong hospitality brands begin with a clear position: who the property is for, what makes it different and what it will never compromise on. That position should then shape decisions from the website and photography to uniforms, menus and the tone of every message.
Consistency is what turns a brand into trust. When a guest’s experience on arrival, in the room and at departure matches what the website promised, that is the brand working. When it does not, no amount of design can repair the gap.
A brand review therefore looks at the whole guest experience and not only the visual identity, and connects it to the property’s commercial goals.
